Archeological
Museum Fliess
The emphasis in this museum is on worship and beliefs in the Magical
Rhetical Triangle. This is presented through the finds of the Bronze
Age - Iron Age burnt-offering site and Roman place of worship on the
Piller Sattel near Fließ (approx. 1400 BC - 400 AD).
A second point of emphasis is the Fließ bronze hoard from the
Hallstatt era, which is one of the most important hoards from this
period (7th - 6th century BC) found in the Eastern Alps.
Documentation Centre Via Claudia Augusta
The Archaeological Documentation Centre Via Claudia Augusta presents
the old imperial road across the Alps and documents archaeological
research.
In addition, archaeological hikes are organised to the burnt-offering
site on the Piller Sattel, to the Kaunergrat Nature Park with its
moor covered with mountain pines and its steppe slopes, and along
the Via Claudia Augusta.
