In the centre's permanent exhibition the peasants` culture and the
cultivated landscape of the Martell Valley are shown to the visitor.
The local human character, the vivid history of the valley, the quest
for happiness and the affectation to the homeland characterise the
exhibition. The hard life of the local peasants is not played down
at all, the management of the natural resources which leaded the inhabitants
in their activities while forming the cultivated landscape offer the
visitor an insight view behind the scenes of the agricultural idyll.
On four floors the visitor is given several possibilities to get to
know in an active or passive way the history of the valley and of
the respective residents. Audio information stations with some vivid
stories out of the life of some inhabitants, hidden texts which illuminate
the backgrounds and opportunities to admire directly all exhibition
objects make it easy for the visitor to immerse into the valley's
culture and traditions
